Wm. Rex Eland, O.D.
Dr. Rex Eland completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Colorado in Denver before attending the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, California. After graduating Cum Laude in 1979, he returned to his home state and has practiced in Longmont for over thirty years. Dr. Eland and his family moved to the Berthoud area in 1995. He loves the smalltown charm and enjoys serving the fine people of Northern Colorado with their vision care needs.
Dr. Eland belongs to several professional organizations, including the American Optometric Association, the Colorado Optometric Association, and the Northern Colorado Optometric Society. He specializes in computer vision disorders as well as difficult-to-fit contact lenses, such as bifocals and astigmatism correction. Having experienced the miracle of Laser Vision correction himself, Dr. Eland performs pre-op and post-op procedures in conjunction with the professionals at InSight Lasik Center. He takes seriously his charge to enhance the lives of others by perserving perhaps the greatest gift next to life itself--one's vision.
Dr. Eland and his wife, Becky, have four children--Emily, Brad, Justin, and Summer, who all graduated from Berthoud High School. He is actively involved in his church and loves teaching all age levels. In his spare time, Dr. Eland enjoys clogging, cooking, and gardening.
